1965 Mustang Fastback

This 1965 Mustang fastback, an A code 289 4 speed car, was brought into the shop in pieces. The couple had parts stored in their garage and basement for many years, both hoping to someday have their dream car. After stripping the car and putting it on a rotisserie, it became obvious that someone had tried to hide major rust issues and collision damage. Extensive structural repairs were done to bring the unit body structure back into shape. The body was straightened and fitted to levels well beyond the factory tolerances and was finished off with a very slick paint job in the original ivy green. The underside of the car was sprayed with a truck bed liner product color matched to the body. This allows easy clean up of road grime as the customers intended to drive the car often. The original 289 was retained but modified with drive ability and performance in mind, it was dyno tuned and produced 330h.p. and 350 lb/ft of torque. A Vintage Air system was added to make summer cruise nights more enjoyable. The finished product is a family treasure that draws attention wherever it goes.
